data collection

We believe the first part of any successful project, is asking the right questions. Having expensive tools and software can help, but it’s more important to identify the problem so you can provide the proper solution. Every survey we conduct will always be done by a professional with years of experience in all repair services offered. We can help you plan, or offer advice to empower you to proceed with a plan of action

Mapping and legend system

During a survey we categorize, label and identify in a select district or area. Information is gathered and recorded into a mapping system we date, file and store. Hazards are numbered and colour-coded, sorted into types on a satellite map with a legend to identify each unique hazard visually at a glance. We also provide a photo for each location with measurements of the hazard.

next step

After we have surveyed in the field, we will compile the information and send you the map and legend. in addition, we send a summary of our findings to use with the map. summaries will have each unique Hazard ID and type, as well as a photo identifying the hazard and dimensions with cost of repair. if requested, it can also include anything else along the way. Anything out of our scope of work, we still provide you with the right information to move forward for your community/property. The goal here is to avoid servicing the same sections of sidewalk, so you can extend your budget and coverage further.

during execution

While working on repairs, we follow an interactive version of the map guided by GPS. Repairs completed are changed visually, 'after' photos are taken and repairs are time-stamped upon inspection. This helps us keep track of any repairs chosen. Afterwards we update the summary and send you a new copy with 'after' photos.

planning and records

When work is completed, we create grids and categorize our maps by year for our customers. This collectively shows a timeline of which districts and areas have been completed and when.
